Every published plan

Read off Bonsai’s own pricing page, last checked 22 Oct 2026.

Priced per user per month, not per organisation: Basic $15, Essentials $25, Premium $39, Elite $59 per user billed monthly, or $9 / $19 / $29 / $49 per user billed annually ('up to 4 months free'). Elite has a 3-user minimum, so its smallest bill is $177 a month ($147 annually). Clients and projects are unlimited on every plan. Basic is time, tasks, CRM and the mobile apps only: invoicing, payments, expense and income tracking start at Essentials; integrations (QuickBooks, Xero, Zapier, Calendly, Google) and profit reports at Premium. Bonsai Tax is a separate paid subscription for US sole proprietors (quarterly estimates, Schedule C, write-offs) whose price is not published; bookkeeping proper is handed to QuickBooks or Xero through the Premium integration. Reduced rate for 30+ users on request. 7-day free trial, card required to continue after it.

Who it suits

Built for: A freelancer or small agency that wants proposals, contracts, time tracking, projects and invoicing in one client-facing tool, and is happy to hand the books to QuickBooks or Xero through the integration.

Weak at: Not an accounting system: no payroll, receipt capture, inventory or tax filing on the page, the tax tool is an unpriced extra for US sole proprietors, invoicing starts at the $25 tier, and per-user pricing with a 3-user Elite minimum climbs quickly for a team.
