Three flat plans billed monthly in USD, auto-renewing, with no per-user fees. Early is capped at 20 invoices and 5 bills (a monthly cap; approving and sending both count) and has no multi-currency, projects or expense claims; Growing lifts the caps; Established adds multi-currency, projects, expense claims and 180-day cash flow forecasts. New US customers get 80% off the first three months with code DC80325309US ($5.40, $11.80, $19.40), then the full price; the homepage also offers the first month free. No annual billing is published. Add-ons on top: Xero Payroll (Gusto) $36 a month plus $6 per employee or contractor, auto-reconcile $5 a month on Early, Inventory Plus on Growing and Established. Prices exclude tax. The UK sells different plans in GBP.

Who it suits

Built for: A small business that wants proper double-entry books its accountant will recognise, with unlimited users on one flat price.

Weak at: The cheapest plan is tight (20 invoices and 5 bills a month, no multi-currency or projects), so a busy freelancer outgrows Early fast, and payroll, inventory and auto-reconcile on Early are all paid add-ons.
