Kahunas vs My PT Hub
Priced at four roster sizes, the features checked against both pricing pages, and my own verdict on each.
Take Kahunas if you want your own app in the stores and unlimited clients on a flat fee. Take My PT Hub if you want unlimited clients on a flat fee and general online 1:1 coaching. Kahunas is cheaper on a small roster and My PT Hub is cheaper by 50 clients, so the answer changes with your size.
What each one actually costs
The real monthly figure at four roster sizes with the add-ons each platform forces on you included, from the same engine the shortlist quiz uses. The cheaper of the two is marked on every row.
| Kahunas | My PT Hub | Difference | |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 clients | $35 | $59 | $24 |
| 25 clients | $35 | $59 | $24 |
| 50 clients | $69 | $59 | $10 |
| 100 clients | $99 | $59 | $40 |
What is actually different
- Kahunas lists group chat where My PT Hub does not, which is their own wording rather than something we verified.
- My PT Hub does appointment booking, and Kahunas does not. We checked both against their pricing pages.
- My PT Hub lists body metrics, video form checks and wearable syncing where Kahunas does not, which is their own wording rather than something we verified.
I have used both
Condensed from my own reviews. Every line links to the second I said it, so you can check any of it. Prices in the table above are from this week; the videos are older and the figures in them are not.
Kahunas
A clean, simple coaching platform with comprehensive features including built-in nutrition tracking, workout programs, and automation tools at reasonable pricing.
- Has one of the largest nutrition databases built in, so you don't need separate apps like MyFitnessPal or MacroFactor. 2:13
- Provides ready-made templates, questionnaires and forms so you don't have to build everything from scratch. 5:20
- Uses their own professional exercise videos rather than random YouTube clips with cheesy background music. 9:05
- Zapier and Make integrations are only available on the business tier, not the starter or pro plans. 13:39
- Voice notes are handy but if clients send them back you have to listen rather than read, which takes more time. 13:07

My PT Hub
A feature-rich, clean platform that suits established coaches, but the flat-fee pricing is rough if you're just starting out.
- Offers a 30-day free trial with no credit card required, so you can test it properly before committing. 1:22
- Has its own extensive video library for exercises, so you don't need to spend time shooting your own. 7:03
- The user interface is very simple and clean, not confusing like some competitors. 7:57
- Flat pricing means you pay the full monthly rate even with just one client, unlike apps that scale with your roster. 3:27
- Not ideal for new coaches trying to save costs because you jump straight to the top-tier price after the trial. 3:32
- Does not integrate with Zapier, which limits automation options with other software. 13:36
- The interface felt a bit slow and took time to save, though that may have been due to screen recording. 7:32

Neither, or not sure?
A head to head only helps once you have picked the two. The shortlist asks 9 questions about your own roster and gives you four picks priced at your client count, from all 26.
