Priced at four roster sizes, the features checked against both pricing pages, and my own verdict on each.
Take PT Distinction if you want general online 1:1 coaching and everything included, no add-ons. Take TrueCoach if you want general online 1:1 coaching and the fastest programme builder. TrueCoach is cheaper on a small roster and PT Distinction is cheaper by 25 clients, so the answer changes with your size.

What is actually different
- PT Distinction does client food logging, group programmes, your own app in the stores and sellable packages, and TrueCoach does not. We checked both against their pricing pages.
- PT Distinction lists leaderboards and progress photos where TrueCoach does not, which is their own wording rather than something we verified.

PT Distinction
PT Distinction is a robust, simple-to-use platform with some of the best AI features I've seen, excellent group coaching, and honest pricing with no hidden fees.
- When you first land in the dashboard you get a setup assistant which is super helpful, gives you direction on what to set up. 6:55
- The AI program generator created a full workout plan in about 20 to 30 seconds, giving you something to build on and saving time. 11:24
- The group coaching features are really solid, you can create specific groups for challenges, trials, or athletes training for similar goals. 18:32
- I had no criticisms of it.

TrueCoach
A robust system with good features for workout building, messaging and payments, though the dashboard can feel noisy and busy.
- Workout builder lets you create training programs for online clients. 1:25
- Access to over 1,200 exercise videos saves time if you haven't made your own. 1:32
- Real-time messaging keeps client conversations on one platform instead of scattered across WhatsApp, email and Messenger. 1:43
- The dashboard feed is noisy and confusing at first look. 4:22
- The programming view shows a lot of information on one page, making it feel technical and busy. 6:21
- No Zapier access, so you cannot connect it to other apps or automate workflows. 10:18
