TrainHeroic vs TrueCoach
Priced at four roster sizes, the features checked against both pricing pages, and my own verdict on each.
Take TrainHeroic if you want strength and barbell programming only, teams and squads and selling programmes to people you don't coach. Take TrueCoach if you want general online 1:1 coaching and the fastest programme builder. TrainHeroic is cheaper at every size we price.
What each one actually costs
The real monthly figure at four roster sizes with the add-ons each platform forces on you included, from the same engine the shortlist quiz uses. The cheaper of the two is marked on every row.

| 10 clients | $34.99 | $57.99 | $23 |
| 25 clients | $74.99 | $136.99 | $62.00 |
| 50 clients | $74.99 | $136.99 | $62.00 |
| 100 clients | $99.99 | $136.99 | $37.00 |
What is actually different
- TrainHeroic does group programmes and sellable packages, and TrueCoach does not. We checked both against their pricing pages.
- TrainHeroic lists leaderboards, a programme marketplace and progress photos where TrueCoach does not, which is their own wording rather than something we verified.
- TrueCoach does nutrition plans, and TrainHeroic does not. We checked both against their pricing pages.
- TrueCoach lists automations, group chat, habit tracking, body metrics, video form checks and wearable syncing where TrainHeroic does not, which is their own wording rather than something we verified.
I have used both

TrainHeroic
A clean, focused programming app that nails workout building and analytics without overwhelming bells and whistles, suited to coaches who want simplicity done well.
- The notification centre is really good, showing client readiness, intensity, completed workouts and what needs programming today. 3:16
- Really easy to program and add sessions from your library straight into a client's calendar. 5:43
- Teams feature lets you create shared training calendars and mini challenges, building community and stickiness. 6:32
- It is just for programming, so if you want nutrition or other features you will not find them here. 9:36

TrueCoach
A robust system with good features for workout building, messaging and payments, though the dashboard can feel noisy and busy.
- Workout builder lets you create training programs for online clients. 1:25
- Access to over 1,200 exercise videos saves time if you haven't made your own. 1:32
- Real-time messaging keeps client conversations on one platform instead of scattered across WhatsApp, email and Messenger. 1:43
- The dashboard feed is noisy and confusing at first look. 4:22
- The programming view shows a lot of information on one page, making it feel technical and busy. 6:21
- No Zapier access, so you cannot connect it to other apps or automate workflows. 10:18
