HubFit vs ABC Trainerize

Priced at four roster sizes, the features checked against both pricing pages, and my own verdict on each.

Take HubFit if you want everything included, no add-ons and serious nutrition. Take ABC Trainerize if you want general online 1:1 coaching and a route up to gym or studio management. HubFit is cheaper at every size we price.

What each one actually costs

The real monthly figure at four roster sizes with the add-ons each platform forces on you included, from the same engine the shortlist quiz uses. The cheaper of the two is marked on every row.

What is actually different

  • HubFit lists group chat where ABC Trainerize does not, which is their own wording rather than something we verified.
  • ABC Trainerize does appointment booking and group programmes, and HubFit does not. We checked both against their pricing pages.
  • ABC Trainerize lists leaderboards and video form checks where HubFit does not, which is their own wording rather than something we verified.

I have used both

HubFit

A clean, simple coaching app with solid features for training, nutrition, habits and automation that can run your whole online business.

  • Super simple and very clean interface that is not overwhelming despite having lots of features. 4:17
  • Includes nutrition coaching built in, so you can handle training and nutrition in one place. 2:01
  • Automation features let you coach ahead of time, sending messages or resources when clients typically struggle. 2:36
  • There is no coaching app for your phone; you must manage everything on desktop or via mobile browser. 14:03
  • Community groups require the top tier plan, and automation features are locked behind the premium tier. 3:44

ABC Trainerize

A robust, feature-rich platform that I use personally as a client and my coach has stuck with for five years.

  • Having training templates is really good if you're just getting started, plus the workout builder is helpful. 1:38
  • It gives you exercise videos so you don't have to record them yourself. 1:45
  • I actually really like this in the gym: I open the app, start my session, log my reps and weights, and see how I'm progressing each week. 7:03
  • The messaging service is a little bit clunky, not that intuitive, and not like WhatsApp or iMessage. 4:56
  • A little noisy when you sign in; I do think a lot of these apps are quite heavy on their data and dashboards. 4:28
  • Getting this set up will take time because creating all the template programs is a bit time-consuming to start with. 6:36
