ABC Trainerize alternatives

The 9 closest of 22, each with its real monthly cost at 50 clients and what it does that ABC Trainerize does not. See all 26.

My PT Hub does everything we verified about ABC Trainerize for $76 a month less at 50 clients, $59 against $135. It is a price cut rather than an upgrade: on the eight features checked against the vendors’ own pricing pages the two are level. The trade: ABC Trainerize is built for a route up to gym or studio management and My PT Hub is not, so this is a swap with a cost.

Why coaches look for an alternative

The headline price is misleading. Nutrition, payments and business tools are all paid add-ons, so a working setup costs far more than the advertised tier.

It runs $135 a month at 50 clients with the add-ons it forces on you included. 14 of the 22 alternatives on this site cost less than that.

What I flagged when I reviewed it, March 2023:

  • The messaging service is a little bit clunky and not as intuitive as WhatsApp or iMessage. 4:56
  • The dashboard is a little noisy when you sign in, with a lot of data displayed at once. 4:30
  • Setting up your program templates is time consuming to start with. 6:36

What ABC Trainerize is still the best answer for

Coaches who want the widest feature set and a route up to gym or studio management.

On this site it is the pick for general online 1:1 coaching and a route up to gym or studio management. If that is you, read the savings above and then ignore them.

How to read the feature lines

Eight features were checked against each vendor's own pricing page: appointment booking, client food logging, group programmes, coach seats, nutrition plans, your own app, sellable packages and taking payments. Those are the ones written above as does and does not. The other thirteen are read out of each vendor's own feature prose, so an absence there means we did not find it listed, not that the product lacks it, and those lines say lists and does not list instead. How all of this gets checked.

Or let it pick for you

This page compares everything to ABC Trainerize. The shortlist asks 9 questions about your own roster and gives you four picks priced at your client count, which is a better question than “what is like the one I already have”.
